Oh wow, I just had such a good weekend. I visited my friend at Columbia (just a quickie train ride from Princeton Junction) and we got together with some other high school pals in New York and saw Rent on broadway. Wow, it was incredible - just so powerful and with awesome modern music. I understand why it's such a cult phenomenon and I'm listening to the soundtrack now. I'll be humming it for weeks, I'm sure. Anyway, this is just a quick note to assure my readers I'm alive, though I'm absolutely swamped with work - I've got to read Spenser's The Fairie Queene tonight, as well as editing a paper on Hemingway and writing a creative piece in the voice of an instructional manual describing something really deep. So instead of "how to assemble a vacuum cleaner", it should be "how to start a religion" or something like that. I think I'm going with "how to start a religion" - it could be funny. Though I get the feeling that my teacher is not easily amused. He doesn't seem to like funny very much. So I'll try to stay serious.
