Our final project assignment for creative writing was to compile a book with not only all of our story and writing exercises for the semester, but also a detailed glossary of the terms we learned, a syllabus of the works we read and the things we did in class, and a collection of our "author reports", brief reports we all did analyzing different authors' styles including Jhumpa Lahiri, Barry Hannah, Judy Budnitz, Raymond Carver, and others. I didn't really have time to get as creative with it as I would have liked, but I did my best and managed to get it bound fairly stylishly, I think. Anyway, we all lined our books up and took a photo of them here. Mine is the cream-colored one whose main text is a bit too small to read, unfortunately, but we were all required to title them "The Book of __" and our names. Sort of like it's our own Gospels.
